SEPTUM PINCHER LENGTH IS MEASURED FROM THE VERY TOP TO THE VERY BOTTOM. FROM OUTSIDE EDGE TO OUTSIDE EDGE. THEY ARE NOT MEASURED USING THE INSIDE DIAMETER.
Horn Pinchers can be worn in septum, helix, daith, tragus etc and can be made in a multitude of sizes. If you would like a custom width and length let us know and we will hand carve them to your measurements.
How to measure Pinchers ::
Length is measured from top to bottom, from the very top to the very bottom.
Insertion Gap is measured between the tips.
Our standard size for a Septum Pincher depending on gauge is approximately : Inside Diameter 16mm [5/8”] Length 19mm [3/4”] Insertion Gap 6mm. If you prefer a different size please message us, we will be more than happy to make them to your specified dimensions.
Our gauges are carefully hand sanded and hand polished to a beautiful smooth finish making them easy to put in and remove from your piercings.
Organics substantially reduce ear grunge and odor normally associated with wearing metal and plastic jewelry which in turn greatly reduces the need to clean jewelry and piercings as often.
Buffalo horn has a high level of comfort due to the structure of the material. It is a surprisingly hardy material being the precursor to modern plastics it can be dropped and knocked around without damage.
In the 19th century it was commonly used for hair combs, belt buckles, brooches etc. It is lighter and more durable than comparable jewelry made out of synthetic materials and is suitable for people with allergies to synthetics.
*It should be noted that some natural horn has growth lines through it [as wood has] which are normally seen as white lines. These are not faults or blemishes they are natural growth inclusions occurring in genuine organic horn products.
